Pre-School
This area caters for children between 3-5 years old.
Children in this area will be encouraged to take part in structured planned activities and learning through play. Promoting independence and confidence preparing them for an easier transition into school. Our layout, resources and atmosphere are calming, natural and brightly lit, with display boards adding some extra colour so children are not over stimulated. The Pre-School room is a large open plan space so children are able to move freely through different areas and become independent learners.
A key person will be responsible for regular observations on the child along with regular discussions with parents/carers enabling us to plan activities to suit their individual needs and abilities linked to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The Children will enjoy a combination of activities with a lot of focus on school readiness in order for the children to be more confident and ready to start school. Each day Gee's Little Bee's brings new opportunities for hands on learning in a creative and fun environment. We are always looking for new technologies and equipment to help our children learn and play and by having a large range of equipment, it stimulates children's imaginations.
All the children have direct access to an outdoor area which is used as an extra classroom as children are encouraged to explore, discover and learn through play.
